Internal geometry uses millimetres. 1 inch = 25.4 mm. A monitor preview is not guaranteed to appear at real-world size; physical print dimensions depend on output scaling.

US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches. Converted: 8.5 × 25.4 = 215.9 mm wide, 11 × 25.4 = 279.4 mm high. A4 is defined as 210 × 297 mm. Landscape swaps those two numbers.
Open the generator and switch paper size; the page-width readout should match these millimetre figures.
Horizontal and vertical steps use the same millimetre value, so cells stay square when the page aspect ratio changes. A 5 mm grid has 5 mm between neighbouring lines in both directions.
Example: ten cells = 50 mm. Generate it on square grid paper.
Dot spacing is the center-to-center distance. Diameter is independent and must remain smaller than spacing. A 5 mm spacing with 0.6 mm dots leaves 4.4 mm between neighbouring edges.
Try the dot grid generator.
Three families of parallel lines run at 0°, +60°, and −60° relative to the horizontal axis. Spacing is the perpendicular distance between neighbouring lines in one family, not the length of a triangle side (that control lives on the triangular page).
Generate a sheet on isometric graph paper.
Pointy-top hexagons. Side length a is the defining parameter. Flat-to-flat width = √3 × a. Vertex-to-vertex height = 2 × a. Adjacent hexagons share full edges.
Example: a = 8 mm, width ≈ 13.86 mm. Open the hexagon generator.
One unit equals the selected spacing. The origin is the center of the printable area. Positive x is right; positive y is up. Labels sit on those intersections.
Print a numbered plane from the coordinate generator.
Printable area = page size minus the four margins. Default 10 mm on each side. If margins leave less than 20 mm in either direction, the generator rejects the setting. Many printers cannot print to the physical edge.
Adjust margins in the workshop.
SVG width and height are set in millimetres. If the print dialog uses “fit to page,” those millimetres shrink. Use actual-size or 100% scaling. This website cannot force that option on every driver.
